Introduction

New to hackathons? That is completely okay. A hackathon is not just for expert programmers. It is a short building challenge where you explore an idea, create a prototype, and explain clearly what you made and why it matters.

Your project can be simple. A tool that helps friends stay connected, a collaborative game, a volunteering platform, a shared creative experience, a peer-support system, a community resource, or a physical gadget designed for groups can all be strong projects if they clearly show how technology can bring people together or help people support one another.

Tools and Technologies

Use whatever tools help you learn and build.

This can include programming languages, frameworks, APIs, open-source libraries, datasets, hardware platforms, design tools, tutorials, templates, and AI assistants.

AI tools are allowed. Using AI will not lower your score. Just disclose which tools you used, explain what you used them for, and be ready to explain your final project.

Inspiration

Possible project ideas include:

- A platform that helps people find others with shared interests
- A tool for organizing group activities, events, or meetups
- A collaborative game that rewards teamwork
- A peer tutoring or mentorship platform
- A system for coordinating volunteering or community service
